Weddings
Here is some of the basic wedding information you will need to know for your special day:
- At least one of the persons marrying must be Catholic
- During the summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day), weddings may be outdoors
- A wedding date is secured by signing our contract and paying the cost as follows: Registered Parishioners $600 for an indoor wedding or $800 for an outdoor wedding,
Non-Parishioners $900 for an indoor wedding or $1,100 for an outdoor wedding
- The required marriage preparation may be done in the diocese of residence
- Non-parishioners are required to provide their own priest/deacon to officiate their ceremony
- A Michigan marriage license is needed
Baptisms
Here is some of the basic Baptism information you will need to know for your special day:
- Baptisms are celebrated during a Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning Mass
- A Baptism preparation class is required for first-time parents.
- The class may be taken in the church where you reside
- At least one of the godparents must be Catholic
- Permission to baptize at Cross in the Woods is required from the church where you reside
